Design

As a special collaboration item by MARKAWARE for ADAM ET ROPÉ, this unique piece is a reimagined version of Barbour’s classic “BEDALE” model, based on its early 1980s specifications and tailored with a relaxed fit throughout.
For the lining, we again adopted Barbour's traditional check pattern this season. By giving the silhouette more room, it keeps its classic look while letting you enjoy a modern way of wearing it.
The collar uses corduroy, the brand's signature material. Fastening the attached chin strap lets you wear the collar up.

100% Organic Cotton

Made using a fabric woven at an ultra-high density with a “Mikko twist”—a three-ply twist of fine No. 80 yarn made from organic extra-long staple cotton from India—
this fabric features such a tight weave that it remains opaque even when held up to the light.
Although it is a natural fiber, it offers high water resistance—it repels light rain without letting water seep through—and while it is wind-resistant, it also has the excellent property of preventing moisture buildup.
When you first put it on, it has a board-like stiffness, enough to stand on its own, but it softens with each wear and gradually conforms to your body.

MARKAWARE によるADAM ET ROPÉ別注アイテムとして、Barbourの定番モデル「BEDALE（ビデイル）」の1980年代初期の仕様をもとに、全体をリラックスしたサイズ感に仕立て直した特別な一着です。
現行のBEDALEは胸元にスラッシュ型のハンドウォーマーポケットを備えていますが、本作では当時の仕様にならい、フラップ付き胸ポケットを採用。
MARKAWARE オリジナルの生地やシルエットにゆとりを持たせた型紙、そして、 Barbour を象徴するコーデュロイ襟や伝統的なチェック裏地のディテールを併せ持ち、クラシックな佇まいをそのままに、モダンに着こなしが楽しめる一着です。付属のチンストラップを留めれば、襟を立てた着こなしも可能です。
